Job summary

Spark Pediatrics in Florida is seeking a Pediatric CNA and/or HHA for our Medical Daycare, a leading Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) provider. We serve children aged 0-21 with nursing interventions and compassionate care. Hours are 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday with new Saturday hours.

Base pay is $19/hour, with overtime pay. A High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA/HHA training, and BLS certification are required.

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with CSI’s/Spark policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and regulations.

  • Providing compassionate care for children aged 0-21, including assisting with daily living activities and helping with transportation needs.
  • Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Engaging children in educational and developmental activities, making a significant contribution to their growth and potential.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to both the children and their families, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Level of education and/or experience to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of CNA and/or HHA program.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in the care of infants and toddlers.Note: You will have to provide employment references documenting skill in the care of infants or children.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Current Florida HHA certificate or CNA license is required.
  • BLS Certification is required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of home healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Robust interpersonal and communication skills. Patient, compassionate, and empathetic.
  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced work environment, with moderate noise, while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to safety protocols.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The physical demands of the position may include standing, walking, lifting, and carrying objects, and performing various patient care activities.

Moderate noise levels are to be expected due to active care and engagement with children. It\'s important that the successful candidate can effectively adapt to these conditions while continuously providing high-quality care to our patients.
