Brookside Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is seeking a PRN Certified Medication Technician to join our Cincinnati team. The role focuses on medication administration and personal care for residents in a post-acute setting.

Responsibilities include documenting medications, complying with state/federal regulations, and working closely with nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care. Competitive benefits and multiple shifts available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enroll and graduate and pass state test within 120 days.
• Understanding of medication administration procedures and state regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math and document care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer medications per physician orders and regulations.
• Monitor for side effects and interactions; understand nursing implications of common meds.
• Account for controlled drugs and report discrepancies.
• Chart routine medications, omissions, and PRN meds with follow-up notes.
• Provide personal care and basic nursing duties; maintain safe, clean environment.
• Maintain and organize resident documentation and participate in trainings.
