Job summary

Texas Oncology in Dallas is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The role supports patient care, patient flow, exams, and procedures under direct supervision, with an emphasis on accuracy, compassion, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, recording vitals, assisting physicians, administering injections as delegated, and handling routine administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly. Entry to senior levels based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• BCLS/CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Entry level position: 0–3 years experience as medical assistant or nursing assistant.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data prior to physician visits (vital signs, weight, allergies).
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms; assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain room disinfection and patient safety protocols.
• Handle calls and coordinate referrals and prescriptions.
