Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for per diem coverage. The CMA will support clinical and administrative tasks, including vital signs, procedures assistance, patient record updates, and appointment coordination in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs.
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy.
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories.
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
