Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital in Palm Beach County invites you to join our Central Sterile Processing Department as a PRN Certified Sterile Processing Tech. You will be responsible for decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments to the OR and other areas, ensuring patient safety.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, CBSPD or HSPA certification, and 1–2 years of experience; English communication and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of sterilization supplies, equipment and instruments.
• Certification from CBSPD or HSPA.
• Previous experience 1-2 years strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room case carts, sterile trays and supplies for all hospital areas.
• Clean, assemble, wrap and sterilize reusable surgical instruments and supplies per procedures.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records for machine tests and monthly reports.
