Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Tech to join our Central Sterile Processing Department. You will be responsible for decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments and supplies to the OR and other areas of the hospital.

We value a dedicated team, accuracy in sterilization records, and commitment to patient safety. Prior CKSPD or HSPA certification plus 1–2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Certification from CBSPD or HSPA.
• 1–2 years prior sterile processing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room case carts, sterile trays, and supplies for all areas of the hospital.
• Clean, assemble, wrap and sterilize reusable surgical instruments according to procedures.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records for machine tests and monthly reports.
