Job summary

Discovery Villages at Castle Hills in Lewisville, TX, is seeking a PRN Caregiver to enrich residents’ lives and provide compassionate, hands-on support daily.

You will assist with personal care, maintain a safe home-like environment, and respond to calls and needs promptly, while promoting dignity and independence for residents.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication with residents, team members and leadership.
• Compassionate, resident‑focused approach with strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and support to residents.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transfers, and eating.
• Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells.
• Promote independence, dignity, safety, and wellbeing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and areas.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Engage residents in life-skills activities and enrichment programs.
• Notify supervisor if a resident’s care needs increase.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Caregiver, you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Your Role

As the Caregiver, your role includes providing hands‑on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home‑like environment.

Position Highlights

• Status: PRN
• Schedule: PRN Flexible Scheduling
• Location: 2600 Windhaven Parkway, Lewisville, TX 7505
• Rate of Pay: $16–$18 based on experience

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift; ensures awareness of whereabouts and conducts frequent checks
• Provide daily personal care support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly
• Help residents maintain independence while promoting dignity, safety, and overall well‑being
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
• Engage residents in meaningful life‑skills activities and enrichment programs
• Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid (CNA) certification preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership
• Compassionate, resident‑focused approach with superior customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Sound judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
