Job summary

The RN must have ACLS certification, an associate degree in nursing, and several years of vascular/cardiology experience, with ASC exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• 2 years cath lab, vascular, or cardiac nursing experience required.
• 2 years ASC experience preferred.
• Previous experience scrubbing in vascular and/or cardiology procedures preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment with strong attention to detail and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to ensure the safety of the patient.
• Perform intraoperative roles as OR circulator, scrub, preop/PACU RN, and clinic/triage RN.
• Assists in preparing the OR and transporting the patient to the OR; verifies pre-op prep.
• Completes documentation for OR records, lab requisitions, and patient chart including meds.
• Maintains supplies and equipment, and monitors inventory control.
• Coordinates flow of patients through the department and communicates across teams.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists with vascular/cardiology procedures.
• Supports surgeons and anesthesia and ensures patient safety throughout care.
