STJ St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV, is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced non-invasive imaging in the Cardiac Laboratories.

You will participate in scheduling, ensure timely procedure completion, and document results in the patient chart with EPIC. Ideal candidates have graduated from a Medical Imaging program, hold RDCS-AE or RCS certification within 12 months of hire, and obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging program.
• RDCS-AE through ARDMS OR RCS through CCI within 12 months of hire.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced non-invasive imaging procedures for Cardiac Laboratories.
• Performs proper billing of procedures and prioritizes patient scheduling.
• Coordinates and prioritizes patient scheduling to ensure timely completion of procedures.
• Pre-tests by obtaining information for procedures and answering patient questions; maintains courteous conduct.
• Performs all non-invasive imaging within established guidelines and timeframes.
• Notifies medical staff of significant abnormal findings.
• Documents procedures in the patient chart to inform the physician.
