Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking staff for cafeteria operations and catering support. The role involves handling dishwashing, kitchen equipment, and food service tasks within a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred), and can follow instructions, apply food safety guidelines, and work with cleanliness and infection-control standards. Previous restaurant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to learn and apply basic mathematic skills for weights and measures.
• Able to learn and apply food safety/handling standards.
• Able to learn and apply infection control guidelines.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Work experience: 6 months in restaurant/institutional settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cafeteria operations and catering support.
• Assist new employees and coworkers with cross training.
• Clean and sanitize areas and equipment per schedules.
• Remove soiled items from patient carts and sanitize dishes, pots, and pans.
• Operate, assemble, and disassemble dishmachine and kitchen equipment.
• Handle cleaning chemicals per MSDS and maintain safe practices.
• Operate 3-compartment sink and monitor sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep/mop floors and clean storage areas and walk-ins.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils within time frames.
• Other duties as assigned.
