Job summary

TRIMEDX in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to own the performance, repair, and calibration of complex clinical equipment, ensuring safety and readiness for clinicians.

You will troubleshoot electronics, guide proper device use, and maintain accurate documentation while adhering to compliance standards, quality processes, and patient-care priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering environment.
  • Strong technical skills in systems, diagnostics, hardware repair and error code interpretation.
  • Associate degree in electronics/technical field or TRIMEDX certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own the performance, repair, and calibration of complex clinical equipment-keeping care uninterrupted.
  • Ensure critical medical equipment is safe, accurate, and ready when clinicians need it.
  • Guide clinicians on safe, effective equipment use.
  • Strengthen operations through accurate documentation, compliance, and smart inventory control.

What You'll Need
  • Minimum 3 years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering environment
  • Strong technical skills (systems, diagnostics, hardware repair, error code interpretation)
  • Associate degree in electronics/technical field or equivalent experience (or TRIMEDX certification)
  • CBET Certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license; ability to travel as needed
