Job summary

Compass Health, Inc. in Missouri seeks a Behavioral Technician (Internal title: Community Living Instructor BHCC) to provide compassionate support during a behavioral health crisis at our BHCC in Wentzville.

PRN, as needed, with supervision from the Triage Clinician Lead; you will ensure safety, assist with daily needs, and help individuals feel cared for during difficult times. High School/GED preferred, and at least 1 year in psychiatric, nursing, or ER work preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• At least one year of psychiatric, nursing, or emergency room work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals during crisis, ensuring daily needs are met
• Monitor safety and engage with individuals to create a supportive environment
• Participate in medication administration (following L1MA training)
• Share observations and feedback with the treatment team to enhance care
• Assist in keeping the BHCC environment organized, clean, and welcoming
• Act as a mentor to new staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
