Job summary

Inova Health in Fairfax, VA seeks a Behavioral Health Therapist 4 to join our PRN team. The role supports PHP/IOP continuity, providing clinical expertise, psychoeducational programming and behavioral interventions to help clients progress on individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities include assessing mental health and/or substance use disorders, supervising licensure-track colleagues and mentoring graduate students, within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a mental health field.
• Current licensure: LPC/LMFT/LCSW/LCP/LSATP upon start.
• At least five years post-licensure experience in mental health/substance use treatment.
• BLS within 3 months; CPI de-escalation certification within 6 months; Approved Clinical Supervisor within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise with therapeutic services and psychoeducational programming to support individualized treatment plans.
• Assess and diagnose mental health and/or substance use disorders using bio/psycho/social assessments.
• Lead clinically by supervising licensure-seeking team members and mentoring graduate students during internships.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and family goals.
