Job summary

Harboroaks in Reading, United States, seeks a qualified behavioral health therapist to assess, diagnose and provide clinical services for individuals and families with emotional and behavioral disorders in either inpatient or outpatient settings.

You will apply psychotherapeutic techniques, conduct psychosocial assessments and discharge planning, maintain therapy documentation, and participate in treatment teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services field.
• One or more years' experience working with comparable patient population.

Responsibilities

• Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions for individuals and families to treat emotional and behavioral disorders.
• Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
• Conduct individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan.
• Provide initial treatment planning based on assessment and coordinate additional services as needed.
• Maintain documentation of therapy services to each patient per standards and revise as indicated.
• Maintain a caseload as assigned and participate in treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with staff to facilitate services for the patient according to treatment plan.
• Provide services in inpatient or outpatient settings as needed, with case management or aftercare planning.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude; address patient safety and resolve complaints.
