Job summary

Bel Aire Recovery Center in Bel Aire, Kansas is seeking a PRN Behavioral Health Associate to join our multidisciplinary treatment team. The role focuses on monitoring client behaviors, providing continuous care, and responding in crises, with shifts 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

to 11:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The employee will perform safety checks, document observations, assist in group activities, take vital signs, and help with incident reporting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors wellbeing and maintains a safe, structured environment for clients.
• Conducts safety checks and follows individualized supervision guidelines.
• Records vital signs and communicates significant changes to nursing staff and supervisor.
• Encourages group therapy participation and client engagement in unit activities.
• Provides de-escalation and calming techniques to manage client emotions and participation.
