Job summary

Canyon Vista Recovery Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a PRN Behavioral Health Associate to join the treatment team on-site. This role supports direct client care, supervision, and crisis response across all days and shifts. Must have CPR and de-escalation training, and prior experience with psychiatric populations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience working with the specific population preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and dual diagnosis and treatment modalities preferred.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required (training provided on hire).

Responsibilities

• Ensure client safety and provide a structured environment.
• Conduct safety checks and follow supervision guidelines.
• Interact with clients and document observations for supervisors.
• Promote participation in group therapy and activities.
• Record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with incident reporting and transportation as needed.
