Job summary

HealthWorks Medical LLC is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a PRN Float role across multiple clinic locations in Kentucky. The provider will work in urgent care and occupational medicine, assessing and treating a range of illnesses and injuries while collaborating with the HealthWorks team.

Flexibility, dependability, and the ability to travel to different HealthWorks clinic locations are essential.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Kentucky APRN license (or PA license)
• Ability to practice in Kentucky per licensure rules
• Clinical skills to assess/diagnose/manage in urgent care/occupational medicine
• Experience ordering/interpreting diagnostic studies (X-rays, labs)
• Experience evaluating/treating sprains, fractures, wounds; suturing capability
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple HealthWorks locations

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, manage, and treat illnesses and injuries
• Ref er patients to primary or specialist care when indicated
• Promote health and evaluate overall health status
• Order and interpret X-rays and laboratory studies
• Evaluate and treat sprains, strains, fractures, and wounds
• Perform suturing and wound care
• Collaborate with HealthWorks team to provide patient-centered care
• Adapt to different clinic locations and workflows

HealthWorks Medical is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team in a PRN Float capacity.

Position Details

• Employment Status: PRN (as needed)
• Position Type: Float Provider
• Work Locations: Multiple HealthWorks Medical clinic locations
• Clinical Focus: Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine
• Travel: Ability and willingness to work at different clinic locations is required

What You'll Do

• Assessing, diagnosing, managing, and treating illnesses and injuries
• Referring patients to primary care or specialist care when indicated
• Promoting health and evaluating patients’ overall health status
• Ordering and interpreting X-rays and other radiographic studies
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory studies
• Evaluating and treating sprains, strains, fractures, and other injuries
• Performing suturing and providing wound care
• Providing compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with the HealthWorks Medical team
• Adapting to the needs and workflows of different HealthWorks Medical clinic locations

The ideal candidate is a skilled and compassionate provider who is comfortable working in both urgent care and occupational medicine environments.

Because this is a float position, candidates should be flexible, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working at multiple clinic locations as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Current, valid Kentucky APRN or Physician Assistant license, as applicable
• Ability to practice in Kentucky in accordance with all applicable licensure and regulatory requirements
• Clinical skills and experience necessary to assess, diagnose, manage, and treat patients in an urgent care and occupational medicine setting
• Experience with or demonstrated competency in ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, including X-rays and laboratory testing
• Experience evaluating and treating common illnesses and injuries, including sprains, strains, fractures, and wounds
• Proficiency in suturing and wound care
• Ability and willingness to travel to and work at multiple HealthWorks Medical clinic locations as needed
• Strong communication, collaboration, and patient-care skills

Preferred

• Current, valid Illinois APRN or Physician Assistant license
• Previous experience in urgent care, occupational medicine, or a similar clinical setting
• Experience working in a multi-site or float provider role
