Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a registered nurse for a PRN ambulatory care role in Wheeling, IL. The RN will deliver patient-centered care in an outpatient clinic setting, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and applying evidence-based nursing processes to ensure safety and quality.

Completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in Illinois, and BLS certification are required. Pediatric experience is preferred to support pediatric patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN license and state certification.
• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• PRN role with clinic hours Monday–Friday 8am–4pm; coverage for staffing shortages, PTO, FMLA leaves, etc.
• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process in ambulatory settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care and smooth patient flow.
• Pediatric experience preferred and helpful for care coordination.
