Liberty Hospital's Liberty Clinic is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic Nurse (RN) for PRN shifts. The role provides direct patient care in an outpatient setting from 7 am to 5:30 pm, with 1-2 shifts per week and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 6 months RN experience; ambulatory clinic experience preferred.
• PRN status with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the ambulatory setting, based on the nursing process and within role/scope of practice.
• Performs preliminary assessment of patients through observation and chart review to facilitate follow-up with the healthcare team.
• Evaluates unstable or complex patient care situations and coordinates appropriate intervention.
• Uses independent nursing judgment in care provided by self and by healthcare providers.
• Documents patient teaching and response in charts.
• Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
