Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic RN for Orthopedics in Liberty, MO. The role centers on delivering nursing care within the ambulatory setting using the nursing process, with accountability for patient outcomes and independent clinical judgment.

Work hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm; required licensure and BLS must be current. Prior ambulatory experience and a BSN are preferred, with responsibilities including direct patient care and patient education.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• 6 months of RN experience
• 2+ years RN experience for Ambulatory Clinic RN PRN
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in-state or multi-state status with active license
• Basic Life Support (BLS Heartsaver) certification

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within ambulatory setting using nursing process.
• Performs initial patient assessment via observation and chart review for appropriate follow-up.
• Evaluates unstable/complex patient care and facilitates interventions.
• Implements clinical decisions and collaborates with peers/management as needed.
• Accepts accountability and uses independent nursing judgment for care delivered by self and others.
• Identifies patient education needs and provides instruction to patients and families.
• Documents patient teaching effectiveness in charts.
• Handles phone calls related to treatment and refers as needed.
