Job summary

West Virginia University Health System's Grant Memorial Hospital seeks a PRN Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to join the Emergency Medicine team. The role covers outpatient care within emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and Rapid Care.

WVUHS and the Department of Emergency Medicine are looking for a PRN Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to join the team at Grant Memorial Hospital. This role is part of the Emergency Medicine services, including Hospital Medicine and Rapid Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity.
• Establish preventive health practices for patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a PA or NP degree and be eligible for state medical license.

Minimum Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by an APRN Certification Center.
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• CNOR Certification required.
• BLS Certification required; Advanced Life Support training at department discretion.

Minimum Qualifications for Physician Assistant

• Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.
• Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant training program required.
• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
• BLS Certification required; Advanced Life Support training at department discretion.

Experience

• Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.
