Job summary

WVU Medicine seeks a PRN Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to join Grant Memorial Hospital to support Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Rapid Care service lines. The candidate will practice in Emergency Medicine, provide comprehensive outpatient clinical care, and establish preventive health practices for patients.

Minimum qualifications include NP master’s degree, national APRN certification, PA degree for PA track, and BLS with ALS as available.

Qualifications

• NP: Master’s Degree in Nursing (CCNE accredited program).
• NP: National Certification by APRN Certification Centers.
• NP: Licensure or eligibility as RN and APRN in PA.
• NP: CNOR Certification.
• NP/PA: BLS Certification with potential ALS training.
• PA: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree as PA.
• PA: ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• PA: Certification by NCCPA.
• PA: License or eligibility by PA Board of Medicine.
• PA: BLS plus potential ALS.

Duties

The successful candidate will practice in Emergency Medicine, provide comprehensive outpatient clinical care, and establish preventive health practices for patients.

Minimum Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• CNOR Certification required.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

Experience for Nurse Practitioner

• Emergency medicine/urgent care experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications for Physician Assistant

• Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.
• Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required.
• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

Experience for Physician Assistant

• Emergency Medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.
