Job summary

WVU Medicine seeks a PRN Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to join the Emergency Medicine team at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg. The role covers Emergency Medicine with hospital medicine and rapid care service lines.

Practice medicine for the right reasons with the right people, delivering quality care. The candidate will provide outpatient clinical care in emergency settings and establish preventive health practices.

Qualifications

Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
CNOR Certification required.
BLS Certification required with Advanced Life Support training.
Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant.
Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant training program.
Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
BLS Certification required with Advanced Life Support training.

Responsibilities

Practice in Emergency Medicine, providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care in an emergency medicine capacity.
Establish preventive health practices for patients in the emergency setting.
