Job summary

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare in Flowood, MS, seeks a PRN Activity Aide/Coordinator to develop and implement a comprehensive recreation therapy program meeting patients' physical, social, cultural, and recreational needs. This role supports psychiatric care across age groups in a secure facility.

Responsibilities include planning activity therapy, evaluating patient abilities, and documenting per standards while coordinating with other departments to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience working with children/adolescents, geriatric, and/or adults with emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental disabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive recreation therapy program to meet patients' physical, social, cultural, and recreational needs.
• Plan and organize activity therapy, evaluate patients' abilities and behaviors.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams and document according to facility standards.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure patient needs are met.
