Job summary

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare, a Brentwoodjackson.com facility, is seeking a PRN Activity Aide/Coordinator to develop and implement a comprehensive recreation therapy program for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients.

The role involves planning and organizing activity therapy, evaluating patient abilities, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams while documenting in accordance with facility standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience working with children/adolescents, geriatric, and/or adults with emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental disabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive recreation therapy program to meet patients' physical, social, cultural, and recreational needs.
• Plan and organize activity therapy and evaluate patients' abilities and behaviors.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams and document according to facility standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of therapeutic activities for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure patient needs are met.
