Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore, St. Ann Adult Day Care Services is seeking an Activities Assistant - PRN to support participants in daily program activities and help them maintain independence.

The role includes assisting with activities of daily living and guiding group activities in a caring, structured setting. The PRN/On Call schedule requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to work with older adults in a day-care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year experience with elders in a long-term care setting.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Implements program activities to meet needs and interests of participants.
• Identifies participants' personal needs and communicates changes.
• Encourages participation in activities such as arts and crafts or music.
• Accompanies participants to vehicles and assists with entry/exit.
• Maintains confidentiality of participant care information.
• Assists in documenting accidents and incidents.
• Sets up meals, serves food, and cleans dining area after meals.
• Provides personal care and activities of daily living under nursing supervision.
• Maintains safe environment and reports health/safety problems.
