Job summary

GIGATEC Engineering in New York, NY is seeking a software engineer specialized in Linux, security, and automation to support the Delinea Tools Suite across Linux environments. You will collaborate with security, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, policy-driven identity and secrets management solutions using Python and Java.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux CLI and Linux toolchain.
• Bash/Python scripting experience.
• Recent Python and Java software development experience.
• Strong Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Hands-on experience with Delinea products (Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault).
• Experience integrating Delinea with directory services ( LDAP/AD/FreeIPA ).
• Understanding of IAM and PAM, certificate-based authentication, security best practices.
• Troubleshooting distributed systems, logs, services, networking, authentication.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and secrets automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack.
• Containerization with Docker/Podman and secret-handling patterns.
• Sustainment of large Linux clusters including monitoring and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Support the secure backbone of mission operations by engineering, integrating, and sustaining the Delinea Tools Suite across Linux environments.
• Serve as a Delinea technical expert while partnering with security, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and mission-ready solutions.
• Collaborate to implement IAM/PAM, secret management, and secure automation across systems.

What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)

Support the secure backbone of mission operations by engineering, integrating, and sustaining the Delinea Tools Suite across Linux environments. This role is ideal for a software engineer with strong Linux, Python, Java, automation, and security experience who enjoys solving complex identity, privileged access, and secrets management challenges. You will serve as a Delinea technical expert while partnering with security, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and mission-ready solutions.

Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Suite of Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Recent software development experience using Python and Java
• Strong background in Linux administration such as RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu
• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting at least one Delinea product (e.g., Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault)
• Experience integrating Delinea with directory services (LDAP, Active Directory, FreeIPA).
• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), certificate-based authentication, and security best practices
• Experience troubleshooting system-level issues in distributed environments, including logs, services, networking, and authentication
• Familiarity with API-based integrations, RESTful services, and secrets automation in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and associated secret-handling patterns
• Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution

Desired Skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience supporting enterprise security tools or working in a cybersecurity-focused software engineering role
