Job summary

Beyond SOF is seeking a System Engineer to serve as the technical lead for planning, deploying, and documenting the Delinea Tools Suite across the organization’s Linux environments.

You will translate security and operational requirements into effective privileged access and secrets management solutions, design deployment strategies, and maintain comprehensive documentation to support audits, sustainment, and future expansion.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux CLI and overarching Linux tools.
• Scripting in Bash and Python to automate manual processes.
• System administration in large-scale Linux environments with COTS/GOTS/FOSS.
• Strong Linux engineering background (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Hands-on experience deploying Delinea products (Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault).
• Ability to produce clear documentation for architecture, configuration, and operations.
• Familiar with IAM concepts, PAM, least-privilege, and secure configurations.
• Experience integrating Linux with LDAP/AD/FreeIPA.
• Strong problem-solving for enterprise systems, authentication pipelines, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with IaC and automation tools (Ansible, SaltStack).
• Familiar with API-driven integrations and secrets management in CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of Docker/Podman and container secret-handling patterns.

Job description

The System Engineer shall serve as the technical lead for the planning, deploying, and documenting the Delinea Tools Suite across the organization's Linux environments. This role is responsible for translating security and operational requirements into effective privileged access and secrets management solutions. The System Engineer shall design deployment strategies, ensure alignment with the mission's architecture, and maintain comprehensive documentation to support sustainment, audits, and future expansion.

Position Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Suite of Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python to automate manual processes
• Experience performing basic System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux environment
• Strong Linux systems engineering background (e.g., RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Hands-on experience planning or deploying at least one Delinea product (Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault, or related tools)
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate documentation for architecture, configuration, and operational processes
• Familiar with identity and access management concepts, PAM solutions, least-privilege principles, and secure configuration guidelines
• Familiar with integrating Linux systems with authentication and directory services (LDAP, Active Directory, FreeIPA)
• Strong problem-solving skills related to enterprise systems, authentication pipelines, and service-level troubleshooting
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
• Familiar with API-driven integrations and secrets management in CI/CD workflows
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and associated secret-handling patterns

Position Desired Skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience in cybersecurity engineering roles or working within compliance-driven environments (STIGs, NIST, ISO, etc.)
