Job summary

Merrill Private Wealth Division seeks a Private Wealth Supervision Manager in Los Angeles to supervise advisors, ensure strict compliance, and partner with regional and centralized teams. The role emphasizes risk management, client-centric leadership, and ongoing adherence to regulatory standards.

The position reports to the MPWM leadership, with responsibilities across supervisory functions, risk mitigation, and collaborative staff development within the private wealth platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Licenses: Series 7, 66, 9, 10 (or equivalent); Series 3, 31 if warranted.
• Strong understanding of risk management, regulations, supervisory requirements, and wealth management concepts.
• Ability to coach Private Wealth Advisors to align solutions with client goals and needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Private Wealth Advisors and support clients while ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
• Partner with Regional Managing Director and Centralized Supervision to maintain robust supervisory practices.
• Monitor adherence to policies and address regulatory, financial, and reputational risk.
• Lead with a client‑centric approach and influence advisor practices to minimize risk.
