Job description

Madison Professional Group has partnered with a highly respected, growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) seeking an experienced Wealth Manager to join its wealth management team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced wealth management professional who thrives in a sophisticated, planning-first environment and enjoys serving as the lead advisor to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.

As a Wealth Manager, you will step into established client relationships and take ownership of the overall client experience—from comprehensive financial planning and investment strategy to ongoing guidance and relationship management. You will be supported by experienced financial planning, investment, and business development professionals, allowing you to focus on delivering sophisticated advice and building meaningful, long-term client relationships.

No transferable book of business is required, and you will not be responsible for sourcing your own leads.

The Opportunity

As a Wealth Manager, you will serve as the lead advisor and primary relationship manager for a portfolio of sophisticated clients with complex financial needs.

You will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive financial plans and investment strategies, working independently and in collaboration with other members of the wealth management team.

In addition to managing existing relationships, you will meet with qualified prospective clients generated by the firm's business development team. You will be responsible for understanding their needs, communicating the firm's value proposition, developing appropriate recommendations, and helping convert those relationships into new clients.

This role is ideal for a Wealth Manager who combines strong technical planning expertise with the emotional intelligence, communication skills, and executive presence required to advise successful individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as lead advisor for established HNW/UHNW client relationships.
  • Lead client meetings and present financial plans, investment performance, and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and investment strategies.
  • Manage client cases, communications, and follow-through from planning through implementation.
  • Collaborate with planning, investment, and support teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Lead qualified prospective client meetings generated by business development and help convert new relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Financial Planning, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of wealth management or financial services experience.
  • Experience advising HNW/UHNW clients and delivering comprehensive financial planning.
  • Series 65 required or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, investments, tax-aware strategies, estate, and retirement planning.
  • Strong executive presence, emotional intelligence, and relationship-management skills with a collaborative, client-first approach.
  • Target total compensation: $180,000–$230,000, including performance-based bonuses
  • 401(k) with generous employer contributions
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus HSA contributions
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • Employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance
  • Professional development and continuing education support
  • Long-term opportunity for high performers to participate in firm ownership
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to join an established RIA where Wealth Managers can focus on what they do best: advising clients, solving complex financial challenges, and building long-term relationships. You will have the opportunity to step into established HNW and UHNW client relationships without the expectation of bringing a transferable book of business or independently sourcing new clients. The firm provides dedicated financial planning, investment, and business development resources while giving Wealth Managers meaningful ownership of their client relationships. For high-performing professionals, the opportunity extends beyond the immediate role, with continued advancement, leadership development, and a potential long-term path toward ownership in the firm.
