Job summary

SantaFe Qatar seeks a qualified tutor to support high school students in the American curriculum. You will provide one-to-one or small-group instruction across multiple subjects, with emphasis on English language, literature and history. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field and significant experience with the U.S.

high school system. Excellent English, strong communication, and rapport-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant academic subject.
  • Significant experience teaching the American High School curriculum; American educational background or U.S. teaching certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the American high school curriculum.
  • Experience tutoring high school students.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, professional, flexible, and able to build a positive relationship with students.
  • Ability to teach multiple subjects is highly desirable.
  • Teaching certification from the United States or experience working in an American school.
  • Experience preparing students for school examinations and academic assessments.
  • Experience supporting students with essay writing, literature analysis, research, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small-group tutoring to high school students.
  • Support students with homework, assignments, examinations, and academic projects.
  • Explain complex concepts clearly and adapt lessons to each student’s academic level and learning style.
  • Monitor academic progress and identify areas requiring additional support.
  • Coordinate with the family, when required, regarding progress, priorities, and study plans.
  • Help students develop strong study habits, analytical skills, writing skills, and examination techniques.
  • The candidate must have strong American High School curriculum experience. Students are High School (Grades 9–12).
  • The preferred candidate should be comfortable teaching a broad range of American high school subjects, including: English Language English Literature History Mathematics Science English Language, English Literature & History are priority subjects, while mathematics and Science are highly desirable.
  • If one candidate is unable to cover all subjects, priority will be given to candidates with strong expertise in:
