Greater Somerset County YMCA is seeking a Private Swim Instructor to provide tailored swim instruction and ensure a safe, positive learning environment for members and participants. The role emphasizes building relationships, excellent customer service, and adherence to YMCA values.

The position supports the YMCA mission by offering developmentally appropriate swim programs, maintaining records, and engaging members about new classes and changes.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Blood borne Pathogens certification.
• SH YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Training within 30 days of hire.
• SH YMCA New Staff Orientation Training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops Swim programs/lessons tailored to members' goals and physical limitations.
• Follows developmentally appropriate teaching methods and recommended guidelines.
• Keeps accurate records of client information such as planned sessions and payments.
• Engages members in a professional and courteous manner and provides safe instructional environment.
• Attends trainings, seminars and meetings as required.
