Qualifications

• Valid Florida CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, or ability to obtain before employment.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass Level II background screening and drug testing.
• Meets Florida Department of Education and Department of Highway Safety requirements for school bus drivers.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with children of all ages.
• Commitment to the mission and values of a Christian school.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students on assigned routes.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly bus environment.
• Follow all Florida traffic laws and school transportation policies.
• Ensure students board, ride, and exit the bus safely.
• Maintain accurate route, mileage, and inspection records.
• Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and administration.
• Report accidents, incidents, maintenance concerns, or student behavior issues promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading students when necessary.
• Transport students for field trips and special school events as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous school bus driving experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
