PACSCON Geoenvironmental, Inc. is a Florida-based consulting firm specializing in geotechnical engineering and environmental services. We seek a Plan Reviewer and Inspector in Tampa to provide private plan review and field inspections for developers, architects, and contractors.

The role offers flexible scheduling and compensation commensurate with project certification and availability. Inspectors operate under Florida’s Private Provider program, with assignments offered based on project

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code and related codes.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
Multi-trade certifications are preferred, though not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections for residential and commercial structures.
Verify compliance with permits, plans, and specifications.
Ensure compliance with building codes and ordinances.
Communicate inspection outcomes clearly to clients and contractors.
Maintain documentation and prepare inspection reports.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects to ensure permits are approved.
Identify and address compliance issues and conduct re-inspections.
Maintain and update inspection files and reports in permit databases.
Stay current on code changes through ongoing education.
