Job summary

Cerity Partners seeks a Private Markets Associate focused on private equity, private credit, and real assets. The role supports due diligence, RFP responses, and data-driven investment content in a hybrid SF or Pittsburgh office.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in private markets, with CFA/CAIA preferred, and strong MS Office and data skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in private markets research.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support manager due diligence and development of investment content for private market engagements.
• Assist in drafting RFP responses with data, analyses, and written responses.
• Effectively present research findings to internal and client staff as needed.
• Interact with managers and intermediaries to collect data; handle ad-hoc requests.
• Proactively source investment opportunities.
• Analyze data to reach reasoned conclusions.
• Draft presentations and written reports.
• Summarize key data, findings, and conclusions.

Position Summary:CPIC is in search of a Private Markets Associate to be focused across private markets asset classes (private equity, private credit and real assets), to join one of our offices, preferably in San Francisco, CA or Pittsburgh, PA. Our office culture is one that values in-person collaboration and interaction. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in private markets, principally covering private equity or private credit.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport manager due diligence, development of investment content, and Private market Consultants with client service relationshipsProvide support on drafting RFP responses by providing data, analyses, and written responses as directed by supervisors and independentlyEffectively present research findings and conclusions internally, and as needed to client staff and prospective clientsInteract with managers and intermediaries to collect data, including special ad-hoc requestsProactive sourcing of investment opportunitiesAnalyze data to reach, support, and present reasoned conclusionsDraft presentations and written reportsSummarize key data, findings, and conclusionsRequired Qualifications:3 – 5 years of experience in private markets researchBachelor’s degreeMaster’s degree in finance or MBA preferredPreferred Qualifications:CFA charter and/or CAIAStrong technical knowledge of the Microsoft SuiteFamiliarity with industry databases (e.g. Pitchbook), AI tools, and coding conceptsSkills and Competencies:Demonstrate strong and effective communication, organizational and time management skills.Ability to work in a team based/collaborative environment.Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.Adherence to all compliance policies & procedures.Demonstrate the Cerity Partners culture.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Compensation Range:$90,000 - $120,000Why Cerity Partners:Our people drive our success by working together to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
