Position Compensation: $23 - $46 / hour (based upon experience and qualifications)

Location: Main Campus

Position Summary

Our Academy of Music Instructors are responsible to provide weekly private music lessons to members of the community. This is a part-time position based on instructor and student schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide weekly 30, 45, or 60-minute lessons each semester to community students and maintain regular communication with parents regarding scheduling, make‑up lessons, and other concerns.
• Confirm lesson arrangements within 24 hours of receiving student names, and promptly submit any changes in scheduling, student lists, or required forms to the Academy Office.
• Maintain professional communication by checking email and voicemail daily, and report absences or emergencies to the Academy Office as needed.
• Ensure punctuality for all lessons, being mindful of time management, and make up any missed instructional time due to tardiness or absence.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• One year of teaching or related experience
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community
