Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Interior Technician based at one of our Fleet or Service Hubs in Teterboro, NJ. You will work on private aircraft interiors, performing removal and installation of carpeting, insulation, fabric accessories, and related repairs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 5+ years of interior experience preferred, a valid driver’s license or passport ideal, and the ability to read blueprints and manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver’s license for airline travel or passport is ideal but not required.
• 5+ years of experience interior work on private aviation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft interiors and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged or worn interior components.
• Make minor modifications to panels, seats, carpets, cabinetry, upholstery, etc.
• Measure, cut, and fit materials such as leather, fabric, and composites for interior refurbishments.
• Assist in aircraft detailing and cleaning.
• Maintain and repair the shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
