Job summary

Top Score Education Inc. is seeking a part-time, in-home tutor to teach AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics to high school students in Northern Virginia, DC, or Maryland.

Ideal candidates have prior AP Economics teaching or tutoring experience and a bachelor's degree. This role emphasizes personalized instruction, strong communication with families, reliable scheduling, and the ability to drive to students’ homes for lessons (evenings and weekends).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Economics, Finance, Applied Mathematics, or Education degrees preferred).
• Past AP Economics teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
• Experience tutoring AP Economics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customized AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics tutoring.
• Conduct 60–120 minute private lessons in students' homes (weekdays 4:00 PM-10:00 PM, and/or weekends).
• Graph, analyze, and break down complex economic models, formulas, and concepts into clear, actionable lessons.
• Develop and maintain positive communication with parents and students regarding progress.
