Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Chicago seeks an experienced Private Funds Associate to join its Asset Management Group, focusing on formation, structuring, and operation of private investment funds. You will draft fund documents, counsel on governance, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years’ experience, strong securities knowledge, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission or eligibility for prompt admission.
• Three to six years of experience in private investment fund matters.
• Strong knowledge of securities laws and regulations.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with fund economics and investor reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in using AI technologies responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on private investment fund formation and operation.
• Draft and negotiate fund formation documents.
• Counsel on fund governance and economic terms.
