Job summary

Grocery Outlet in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Senior Manager, Fleet Strategy & Compliance to lead and standardize its private fleet program across NorCal, PNW, and East Coast. You will own enterprise fleet compliance, safety performance, technology systems, and program governance for fleet drivers to ensure safe, cost-effective operations delivering to stores.

The role builds scalable safety and compliance programs, serves as SME for private fleet governance, and reports to the Sr.

Qualifications

7+ years in fleet operations, transportation compliance, or safety leadership.
Deep knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and audit processes.
Experience managing multi-site fleet programs.
Strong analytical skills with experience using telematics and safety data.

Responsibilities

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Own DOT/FMCSA compliance across all regions; ensure HOS/ELD/DVIR compliance; lead audits; monitor CSA scores and risk exposure.
Safety & Risk Management: Develop enterprise safety strategy; standardize incident review and corrective actions; oversee driver safety training and onboarding.
Fleet Program Governance & Standardization: Establish fleet SOPs; standardize onboarding/training; define KPIs; own enterprise fleet technology stack.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as enterprise fleet SME for Operations, Transportation, HR, Legal, and Finance; influence regional DC leaders; support budgeting and equipment standardization.
