Job summary

HedgeServ Corporation is seeking a finance professional for a hybrid role based in the United States. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in the finance sector, with responsibilities including processing capital calls, preparing financial statements, and supervising Private Equity accountants.

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000 based on education and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience working in the finance sector.
• Experience at an administrator, auditor, or investment manager is advantageous.
• Private Equity and Hedge fund experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process Capital Calls and Distributions, ensuring timely resolution of aged items.
• Prepare net asset value calculations and financial statements.
• Supervise up to four Private Equity accountants.

Job description

Role Responsibilities

• Capital Call and Distribution Processing; ensure aged items resolved in a timely manner.
• Preparation of net asset value calculations and financial statements.
• Fee calculations and profit and loss allocations.
• Waterfall creation and maintenance.
• Performance reporting including IRRs.
• Ad hoc client and investor reporting.
• Assist in the audit process to ensure timely and successful completion of fund audits.
• Supervise up to four Private Equity accountants, facilitating their ongoing development.
• Resolve fund accounting enquiries escalated by the Administrator.
• Assist in managing client relationships with both the client and management to ensure consistency of service.
• Develop and improve workflows and procedures.
• Play a role in client onboarding and transitions.

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• 3+ years’ experience working in the finance sector.
• Advantage if experience at an administrator, auditor, or investment manager.
• Private Equity experience is a plus, though not required.
• Hedge fund experience is an advantage.
• Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Business degree.
• Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA); part-qualified or qualified is a bonus but not required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with HedgeServ proprietary systems.

Location

Hybrid office location in New York, NY; Dallas, TX; or Raleigh, NC.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $100,000–115,000, commensurate with education, experience and skill set. Benefits include remote or hybrid working arrangements, fully paid comprehensive health and well-being benefits. Visa sponsorship will not be offered at this time.
