Job summary

GCM Grosvenor in New York seeks a Portfolio Management Analyst to support the private equity program by reviewing opportunities, testing allocations, and documenting investment rationales. You will coordinate with Investment Research, Risk, Finance and Legal teams and assist with client portfolio updates.

The role requires a Finance/Economics/Accounting degree, 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint, and familiarity with Power BI.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field.
1–3 years in investment, operations or accounting withinAsset management or top-tier public accounting.
Familiarity with alternative investments and private equity strategies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for clients and staff.
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
Experience with AI-enabled tools is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

Review investment opportunities to determine preliminary and final appetite and allocations.
Test and document investments against guidelines and client programs.
Participate in weekly investment committee meetings.
Monitor target portfolio plans to ensure alignment with objectives and constraints.
Maintain knowledge of private equity funds and investment themes.
Prepare client portfolio update materials and deliverables.
Coordinate investment execution across groups and track closing/funding dates.
Contribute to special projects and strategic development efforts.
