Job summary

Leading Private Equity Fund in NYC is seeking a Finance Associate to support transactions and operate as a mini-CFO within the deal team. You will help with valuations, deal modeling, and capital formations while handling other finance functions.

The role emphasizes working closely with the deal team on portfolio company valuations, capital calls, investor communications, and process improvements within the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Support the valuation process for portfolio companies
• Prepare and review valuation models and support schedules
• Play an active role in deal closing processes for new investments and add-on acquisitions
• Support the preparation and review of capital call and distribution notices, waterfall calculations, and related investor allocations across the fund complex.
• Assist in tracking fund-level cash activity, including capital call funding, credit facility draws/paydowns, and distribution mechanics.
• Contribute to investor reporting deliverables and responses to investor due diligence questionnaires.
• Assist with special projects, including new fund launches and process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
