Job summary

Marsh, Mercury’s a Marsh business, seeks a Private Equity Specialist in New York City to support the North America Private Equity Funds team. The role involves end-to-end due diligence and portfolio construction support, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring three days in the office.

You will lead and assist in evaluating funds, conducting due diligence, and preparing detailed analyses and materials for investment decisions, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with Principals and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of relevant private equity investment experience.
• Strong quantitative skills to evaluate fund and portfolio performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
• Resourceful, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
• Passion for investing.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Attend manager meetings and plan due diligence.
• Travel to on-site meetings and perform reference calls.
• Evaluate fund team, strategy and performance and rate funds.
• Prepare reports and presentations for Investment Committee and clients.
• Support research and due diligence efforts globally.
• Provide information on non-marketable opportunities to client-facing teams.
• Mentor junior staff.
