Metric, partnering with an established investment platform, seeks a commercially minded professional for its private equity team in New York. The role builds a pipeline of investments in privately held U.S.

businesses, engaging founders and owners to develop relationships that create opportunities. You will identify targets, conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels, and collaborate with the team to evaluate opportunities and allocate resources.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Background in private equity sourcing or investment origination.
• Experience with proactive outbound outreach.
• Ability to communicate with founders, executives, and business owners.
• Comfortable owning sourcing initiatives in a collaborative investment environment.

Responsabilités

• Research privately held businesses that fit the investment strategy.
• Generate opportunities through direct outreach, market mapping, referrals, and relationship development.
• Engage founders and owners via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other sourcing channels.
• Build long-term relationships with prospective sellers, executives, advisors, and market participants.
• Develop new approaches to identifying companies before formal sale processes.
• Evaluate opportunities with the investment team to allocate resources.
