Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an Assurance Supervisor to join our Private Equity practice in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on leading audit engagements, coaching staff, and delivering high-quality assurance services to private equity clients.

Candidates should have 4+ years of public accounting assurance experience, CPA licensure or progress toward it, and strong knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS. Occasional travel to client sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited University.
• Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward CPA licensure in state of residence.
• 4+ years of recent assurance experience within a public accounting environment.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS and related standards.
• Experience leading portions of audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Ability to lead and develop staff and coach performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Review workpapers and manage workflow across multiple engagements.
• Coach and develop staff, providing performance feedback.
• Manage client communications and expectations throughout the engagement cycle.
• Oversee substantive testing, analytical procedures, and control testing.
