Job summary

Seaport Capital, based in New York City, seeks an Investment Analyst to support financial analysis, modeling, and deal diligence in private equity transactions. You will assist in all aspects of the transaction process and interact with senior executives across portfolio and investment opportunities.

Qualifications

• One to two years of investment banking, buy-side, or corporate finance experience.
• Independent, intellectually curious, self-starter, energetic, emotionally intelligent and detailed oriented
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of the balance sheet, cash flow and income statements
• Confidence and desire to interact with senior executives at portfolio investments, new investments and investment banker professionals

Responsibilities

• Financial analysis and modeling
• New deal diligence and research, including preparation of screening and investment committee memos, term sheets, and lender presentations
• Assisting in all aspects of the transaction process, including identifying investment opportunities and risks, transaction execution and financing
• Portfolio company support and investor reporting, including interacting with portfolio company management teams
