Job description

StevenDouglas has been exclusively retained by an emerging family office in Broward County to hire an Analyst as the third member of its investment team.

About our client

Our client partners with founder-led businesses across the middle and lower middle market.

They invest their own capital and syndicate alongside high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and professional athletes. That independence lets them move quickly and pursue deals a traditional fund mandate would screen out. In a given week the firm may be working an acquisition, a sell-side process, a real estate transaction, and a capital raise at the same time.

The opportunity

You will report to the firm's Associate, whom we placed with this client, and work directly alongside the Founder. This is deliberately broad rather than specialized: you will sit in diligence calls, draft the LOI, build the model the lender sees, and then go help solve whatever the portfolio company needs that week.

What you'll do
  • Build financial models to evaluate acquisitions — cash flow, capital structure, return drivers
  • Support deal execution end to end: screening, diligence, LOIs, coordinating advisors, driving to close
  • Perform financial and operational due diligence, including normalizing unaudited, closely held records
  • Prepare lender and investor materials: debt financing models, decks, transaction summaries
  • Work hands-on with portfolio company management on reporting, add‑on integration, and operations
What we're looking for
  • 1 to 2 years post-undergrad in investment banking, private equity, a family office, M&A or management consulting, transaction advisory / financial due diligence, or public accounting
  • Strong finance and accounting fundamentals — cash flow modeling is the key technical skill for this seat
  • Comfort with messy, incomplete, or closely held financials, and the judgment to know what matters in them
  • Bachelor's in finance, accounting, economics, or related. CPA or CFA progress welcome, not required
  • Clear communication and a bias toward action
Compensation and growth

Competitive base plus performance bonus, co-investment opportunities, potential carried interest as the role progresses, and relocation assistance for the right out-of-market candidate. A defined path to Associate as the platform scales.
