Job summary

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home patient care in the Oak Ridge/Knoxville area under a physician’s care plan. This 1099 contract role supports variable scheduling from weekly visits to 12-hour shifts, with care at the patient’s residence and collaboration with CNAs, HHA’s, and case managers.

Responsibilities include executing prescribed plans, medication administration, patient assessments, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current State or Compact RN or LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB test and physical examination.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient mobility.

Responsibilities

• Execute physician prescribed plans of care.
• Complete compliant documentation of the care provided in the system of record.
• Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies.
• Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care.
• Perform activities of daily living as needed.
• Monitor vitals and intake/output.
• Assess skin integrity and administer wound care.
• Monitor for changes in patient condition and progression.
• Communicate with family, physicians, and case managers.
• Provide education and training to patient and family.
• Supervise CNAs and Home Health Aides.
• Deliver care one-on-one in the patient’s home.
