Job summary

Giving Home Health Care, LLC seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for in-home patient care in the Oak Ridge/Knoxville, TN area. This is a 1099 contract position with flexible scheduling, ranging from short weekly visits to full 12-hour shifts, including blends.

You will work one-on-one with patients, collaborating with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and physicians to implement care plans. The ideal candidate will have an active RN (or LPN) license, CPR, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with nursing degree (ADN/BSN).
• Current State or Compact RN/LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB test and physical examination.
• Maintain required insurance.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
• Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to patient homes.
• Ability to provide basic medical management up to end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Execute physician prescribed plans of care.
• Complete compliant documentation in the system of record.
• Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies.
• Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care.
• Perform activities of daily living.
• Monitor vitals and GI intake/output.
• Assess skin integrity and administer wound care.
• Monitor changes in patient condition and progression.
• Communicate with family, physicians, case managers, and other care team members.
• Provide education and training to patient, family, and/or Home Health Aide.
• Provide one-on-one care in the patient’s home to ensure comfort.
• Supervise CNAs and Personal Care Attendants.
• Perform other personal care tasks as needed.
